Brian Roe

The one man band that is Brian Roe

He plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo at a national caliber. Not a baseless boast as he placed 2nd and 3rd at the National Mandolin Championship, and was a 4 time consecutive Top 5 finalist, all while still a teenager. He is (as of 2013) a 4 time Arizona State Mandolin Champion and 3 time Arizona State Guitar Champion.

Brian Roe started playing music at 8 years old. First the guitar, then at 10, the mandolin, 12, the fiddle, and at 14, the banjo. Throughout his childhood he was home-schooled. The family spent the winters in Mexico and later Central America on a sailboat. The summers were spent in the high Colorado Rockies. This lead to the perfect conditions for learning to play an instrument. You had to take responsibility for your own entertainment.

Practice, practice… then some more practice and this is what you end up with. A true musician!
